The recent news both around the city and on television (as of early October) is about a string of killings. Three victims are accounted for so far. The weapon has been determined to be some kind of bladed weapon, probably a knife or sword. But there's another person outside of the killings who has gone missing. Seeing as all of the murder victims and the missing person are female, local authorities seem to believe the two might be related. But as matters stand, there probably won't be an answer until the missing girl is found or her physical state is determined.

For specific details on the murders: All three of them were killed by a cut across the throat by a blade of some sort. The corpses were all sliced open in various places, usually the stomach. Certain organs were even missing entirely. The cutting after the death of the victims was careful and precise, so the killer likely used a small knife. But the cuts on the throat and stomach look different enough that the killer likely switched weapons after slitting their throats, meaning that any kind of bladed weapon could have been used for the initial deed. Two of the victims were found in alleys in the shopping district and the other was behind her home in the housing district. The ages of the three vary, though none are as young as the missing high school student.

There is no official curfew yet, but citizens are advised to stay in their homes at night. Some small businesses may also be closing early.

Recent Events Empty Museum Hiest

(A news report from early September)

Our top story today took place at a local museum. One of the exhibits, a priceless chalice, was stolen just last night by what appeared to be a young boy. The most impressive thing about this crime was that someone had apparently rigged explosives in the men's restroom to aid in the child's escape. Cameras show the boy breaking the glass, snatching the item, and fiddling with a cell phone. After that, there was an explosion that destroyed the wall in the restroom. The explosion caused the most of the cameras to go offline, but the security guards on the scene report that the boy made his escape through the hole in that restroom, so it was undoubtedly planned by someone ahead of time. Thankfully, nobody was injured save for one guard who sprained an ankle while chasing the child.

The security guards didn't have much to say about the boy aside from the facts that he was small, quick, and that the hooded jacket he wore hid most of his face from view. Unfortunately, this jacket was found in an alley near the museum, apparently discarded by the criminal to prevent it from being used in identifying him. Local authorities are currently investigating, but they haven't released any details at this time. The museum will be closed for some time to repair the property damage, but the curator has assured us that it will reopen with tighter security as soon as possible.

Up next, maid costumes: a cure for cancer? A western analyst has evidence that might make you flock to the nearest cosplay cafe. All this and more right after this commercial break.
